Auryn was initially made without the intention of him become an actual, developed character. He was created to be a bit silly, his design using markings that shone a blinding bright white around his eyes, and his name was originally Spice to pair along with his equally silly Palico named Sugar. I still often use 'Spice' as a name for him—it is now canonically a nickname given to him by his adoptive daughter Yoko and Sugar has been renamed to Cane (as in cane sugar).
Once I began to truly OC-ify him, I knew that I wanted Auryn to be somewhat... otherworldly. I had given him glowing eyes with the Demonlord headpiece and a modded hairstyle with physics that made the hair float through the air gracefully behind him. In my mind he was not a Hunter of the guild, but something else, a being that resided in the wilderness and hunted monsters himself to maintain a balance in the ecosystem. Something that had been doing so for a very long time.
This led to the beginning of my concept of—
Dragonblood Wyverians are wyverians with a close ancestry to wyverns (or any type of monster, really, I'm just having fun here). Because of this closer relation, they have certain traits that manifest moreso than base wyverians. dragonblood wyverians are rare and outside of wyverian communities not often known of in general. There is very little written information about them.
Amongst the dragonblood wyverians, there are even rarer elder dragonblood wyverians who have close ties to elder dragons. These individuals carry a particular aura about them, easily intimidating not only humans and wyverians, but all but the most aggressive and headstrong of monsters. Their elder blood also further extends their already long lifespans as wyverians.
Auryn himself has ties to Kulve Taroth. This manifests physically with a pattern of black and gold scales across his chest but it also manifests through his personality with an intense vanity and pride.
